GONDWANA: SF BOTANICAL GARDEN
The competition objective was to create a design solution for a 30’ diameter circle within the San Francisco Botanical Garden. The design would educate the visitors on Gondwana; the ancient landmass that once encompassed the southern hemisphere continents. It would convey the evolution of the individual landmasses as they separated over millions of years, creating distinct horticultural communities found only within the southern hemisphere.
We won second place in this competition. There were 88 submissions, with the winning entry coming from a firm in NY.
